About Fun Crew
Fun Crew launched in the UK in 2006 to produce high quality character designs and illustration for the advertising, design, publishing, interactive, product and brand licensing industries and develop properties and children's content for cross platform media. We have an increasing portfolio of exciting ideas to show potential partners. CONTACT US to discuss our ideas or how we can help to develop yours.
Fun Crew was co-founded by Stuart Harrison and Angela Salt, ex Kingston University graphic design students. Stu has 20 years’ experience serving great clients such as Disney, Sony, Nike, MTV, Nickelodeon, Virgin, Warner Music, Channel 4, Tesco, Asda, Sainsbury’s and Mars. He’s designed award-winning characters for Kellogg’s and produced all the illustration for a BAFTA winning and Emmy nominated children’s website for the BBC, commissioned by Preloaded. His work is diverse and engaging. He is highly-skilled at producing traditional 2-D images for print or animation and is used to working with partners for fully-rendered 3-D CGI. He's brilliant at visualising for clients and moving ideas forward responsively and imaginatively.
With a Masters degree in Design for Communication Media (Manchester Metropolitan University), Ange has worked as a professional illustrator for a wide variety of clients including the BBC, Scholastic, Macmillan, EMAP, H.Bauer, IPC, The Daily Telegraph, The Independent, The Times Educational Supplement, Design Week, Virgin Airways, British Airways and Ogilvy & Mather. Her ideas-driven approach was spotted by the late John Gillard who invited her to join the regular teaching staff nurturing creative talent for the advertising industry at The School Of Communication Arts. She has also been a guest lecturer in BA (Hons) and MA Graphics and Illustration at Kingston, Manchester Metropolitan and Salford Universities. In 2007 she turned to writing for children and is the author of 'The Skate Park After Dark' and 'The Graffiti Ghost' published by Scholastic. She has written comic strips for TOXIC and The Dandy and writes regularly for several children's titles for Signature Publishing.
Stu and Ange have three children age 12, 9 and 4 and live in a house by the sea overrun by action figures and vintage TOMY robots. They are currently building an extension out of LEGO.
